Sr. Lucy’s US Tour is half way done! Many of you in the Eastern US were able to meet her on one of her stops. She met many new friends and renewed connections to friends not seen in a while. Below are some highlights and memories. She had a traveling companion this trip to help her manage luggage, foreign airports and buses, and all things technology so she was always able to be in touch with Maher. Lucian Petersmann, a young man from Austria, first came to Maher at age eight, and is now in a 10-month volunteer program at Maher. He was a delightful guest and SO much help to Lucy and to hosts. He will most likely be back with Lucy for the second half of the Tour to the Western US.

Thanks to your generosity, more than $50,000 was raised and we have already wired $50,000 USD to Maher.

Rochester:  Sister Lucy spoke at Nazareth University and to the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Rochester

Washington DC: Screenplay reading of upcoming film “The Sound of Water” with a presentation by Sr Lucy to a room full of new friends.
